Orlando Pirates Win Their Second Cup Final of The Season

Table of Contents

On 6 December 2025, Orlando Pirates clinched the Carling Black Label Knockout after a difficult 1-0 win over Marumo Gallants, sealed in extra time by a goal from Relebohile Mofokeng. The match remained goalless through normal time, but Mofokeng struck in extra time to send Pirates fans into rapture, and the team held on despite Gallants’ pressure for the remainder of the game.

This trophy comes on the back of another successful campaign for Pirates — adding to their earlier triumph in the MTN 8 this season.

Importantly, this marks the first time in their history that Orlando Pirates have won the Carling Black Label Cup since the league cup changed from the Telkom Knockout Cup. The trophy is worth R6.85 million for the winners and R2,85 million for the runners-up.

With this win, the club further bolsters their already impressive honours haul. To date, Orlando Pirates have won 39 major trophies across domestic and continental competitions.
