Cape Town Stadium is also unofficially known as the Green Point Stadium. That is the name of an earlier stadium that was situated adjacent to the current Cape Town Stadium. It is also sometimes referred to as DHL Stadium for sponsorship reasons.

Cape Town Stadium is situated in Cape Town not far from the tourist-famous Table Mountain. It was built in the lead up to South Africa’s FIFA 2010 World Cup and it was completed in 2009.

Current Use

It is the home ground of Cape Town Spurs FC and Cape Town City FC. It is also home to two rugby clubs, namely: Western Province and the DHL Stomers.

Another football club that used to use the stadium as its home ground was Ajax Cape Town, before it became defunct in (year).
