Sinaba Stadium

The Sinaba Stadium is situated in Benoni, in the Ekhuruleni municipality.

The stadium was named after Shadrack Sinaba who became a councilor in Daveyton during the apartheid era. The Sinaba Stadium was the home ground of Benoni United. However, Benoni United was relegated in 1985.

In 2004, Benoni United made a resurgence to the PSL after purchasing the status of Hellenic and continued to use Sinaba Stadium for its home matches.

In 2007, Benoni Premier United sold its professional status.

Notable Events That Took Place at The Sinaba Stadium:

2010 opening game between South Africa and Tanzania at the seventh African Women’s Championship.

Current Use

It underwent a major upgrade during 2009, as it was chosen as one of the training facilities during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

There is currently no PSL club using the Sinaba Stadium. But it is being used by local football clubs and community organizations.
