The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is situated in Gqeberha in the Eastern Province of South Africa.

Construction of the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium began in early September 2006. The stadium was completed in May 2009 and officially opened on 7 June 2009.

The stadium hosted eight games during the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament. It hosted 5 group games, 1 round of 16 game, a quarterfinal game and the 3rd/4th playoffs.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is home ground to Chippa United FC and the Eastern Province Kings and Southern Kings rugby clubs.
