The youngest chairperson of a Premier Soccer League (PSL) football club is Calvyn Le’John The title used to belong to Andile Mpisane before his club, Royal AM, was expelled by the PSL from the league.

Andile Mpisane was born on 15 March 2001. He still holds the record for the youngest ever PSL club chairman in history, having assumed the role at just 19 years old in October 2020.

Calvyn Le’John is the chairman of Siwelele FC and the eldest son of South Africa’s Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie. He is 29 years old, seeing that Calvyn Le’John was born in 1996. He took over the club after it purchased the status of the former SuperSport United in 2025. Siwelele FC replaces the former Bloemfontein Celtic.

Another young prominent figure in South African football leadership is Tlhopane “Tlhopie” Motsepe. Tlhopie Motsepe is the chairman of Mamelodi Sundowns FC. He is the eldest son of billionaire businessman Dr. Patrice Motsepe and fashion entrepreneur Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe. Tlhopie Motsepe was born on 12 June 1989.
