Charles Mopeli Stadium

The Charles Mopeli Stadium is situated in Qwa Qwa in the Free State Province. It is named after Charles Mopeli, a former paramount chief of the Bakwena who reigned from 1918 to 1962.

The Charles Mopeli Stadium was used as home ground by QwaQwa Stars in the 1990s until the club was dissolved. Then Free State Stars FC continued to use the stadium until the club sold its first division status to Casric FC.

Current Use

The stadium was also used as home ground by the National First Division club, African Warriors.

Charles Mopedi Stadium hosted the Nedbank Cup fixture between Orlando Pirates and Maluti FET College F.C.
