Makhulong Stadium

The Makhulong Stadium AKA Tembisa Stadium is one of the two stadiums situated in the township of Tembisa, 40 kms outside Johannesburg.

It was used by the now defunct Tembisa Classic FC as its home ground. From 2003, it was used as home ground by Highlands Park FC. The club no longer exists.

In 2009, it underwent some renovations and was brought up to Premier Soccer League standards.

Current Use

Makhulong Stadium is now mostly used by community organizations for community events. Popular house music DJ Coffee has also held a concert there too.

Makhulong Stadium also regularly holds the popular Philly’s Games.
